NAKAD – BLUSH 2021
The grapes used to produce the Château des Coteaux are planted on the hillsides of the Bekaa, a valley situated between Mount-Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains, peaking at more than 1000 meters high. The vineyard was cultivated for the first time in 1923 by Joseph Nakad. It is situated on the fresh terraces of the valley, more than 1000 meters above sea level. The clay-limestone soil contains gravel, creating water stress and naturally improving the quality of the grapes. The natural character of the terroir is thus expressed tastefully. The contrast between the heat of days and freshness of nights is attenuated by the action of the limestone, which captures the heat and warms the vines during cold nights.
